We know that living in the digital age we are all constantly chasing the latest trend and wanted to feel our best selves in sassy clothing. But how often do we stop to think about where our clothes come from/how they are made? Fun fact: it takes 1,800 gallons of water to make one pair of jeans, well turns out this is not so much of a fun fact because that amount of water waste is ridiculous!
So with these questions in mind, we have teamed up with #LoveNotLandfill campaign, to further educate ourselves/others on how to reuse outfits and not be afraid to wear the same things twice! Recycle your clothes, you could even swap with friends and repair pieces that we have ripped. And of course to bring you sassy sustainable fashion. #LoveNotLandfill is an eco-fashion campaign championing pre-loved fashion at a unique Brick Lane pop up. The pop up will feature collections of stunning second-hand clothes all sourced from charity shops curated by us and other sassy influencers and a handful of great charity shops. Of course, you’ll be able to spot our rail because Love Not Landfill has teamed us up with Barnardo’s charity shop and we have picked out the most magical colourful pieces we could find (and believe it was no easy task sifting through the mountain of incredible second-hand gems).
In the UK 38 million items of new clothing are brought every week and 11 million items go into landfill. With this scary amount in mind, #LoveNotLandfill campaign was created, co-funded by the EU and London Waste And Recycling Board (LWARB), with the aims to help encourage fast fashion fans to swap, recycle, give to charity and buy second-hand.
So if you want fierce fashion, an affordable price and knowing you are shopping sustainably then get your diaries out and put in between 8-11th November 2018!
